DR. JUAN MORENO
Senior Pastor
Pastor Moreno has been with First Baptist Church since October 1997. Prior to coming to Lake Orion, he served as an assistant pastor at Inter-City Baptist Church in Allen Park, MI and as the school administrator at Bethany Christian School in Troy, MI. Pastor Moreno received his B.A. & M.A. degrees from Bob Jones University, M.Div. and Th.M. degrees from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. from Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary in Lansdale, P.A.
STEVE SANDERS
Assistant Pastor,
Administration & Adults
Pastor Steve has been on staff since February, 2006. He is originally from this area, having grown up in Clarkston. His past experience includes serving on staff at Maranatha Baptist Church, Clarkston, MI (1984-2004) and then on the mission field in Africa for a year-and-a-half. Steve holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration and an M. Min. degree, from Bob Jones University.
TONY BRYSON
Assistant Pastor,
School Administrator
Pastor Tony has been on staff since 2007. Prior to coming on staff at First Baptist, Tony was the school principal at Sterling Christian School in Sterling Heights, MI, where he served for a total of eighteen years. Tony holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration and a M.S. degree in Education Administration from Bob Jones University.
DR. JIM WATSON
Assistant Pastor,
Music Ministries
Pastor Jim directs the FBC Choir and Orchestra. He also heads the educational music ministries, including the music program of the Lake Orion Baptist School. He completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Conducting at the University of South Carolina. Jim is active as an adjudicator, clinician, and conductor. But he has always been a church musician, serving once again here at his home church. His goal is to provide music that serves the members and glorifies the Lord, training musicians that competently serve the church body.
JON MORENO
Assistant Pastor,
Youth Ministries
Pastor Jon joined the pastoral staff in June, 2012. He grew up in this ministry as the "Pastor's Kid," so he brings a unique perspective to the ministry staff. Jon received his undergraduate degree in Music Education from Bob Jones University in 2010, and a Master of Divinity degree from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary in 2018. He is currently working on a Doctorate in Preaching from Dallas Theological Seminary.
