Our fervent desire here at First Baptist Church is that our teens would glorify God through a personal and passionate relationship with Jesus Christ. The purpose of the Teen Ministry is to point young people to Christ through gospel-centered worship, discipleship, community, and evangelism.
Teen Sunday School
Every Sunday morning at 9:15 we meet as a group for a time of teaching from the Word of God. The Senior High class is currently working through a series entitled "Citizens of Heaven" an in-depth study through the book of Philippians.
Our midweek meetings focus on worshiping God through songs, prayers, and the Scriptures. It also gives our teens the opportunity to worship with other teens in a safe and wholesome environment. We meet Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8.
In order to encourage intentional gospel-centered discipleship, each teen is asked to join a small group (aka G.R.A.C.E. Group). These groups meet during our midweek meetings and are led by adult sponsors consisting of 4-8 teens. The five main purposes for these groups are revealed in the word "grace": Growth, Relationships, Accountability, Correction, and Encouragement.
